“Ordered” three SCuM boards from https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14XAfxGwL6wk_KUb9GTKfo5KeL4-N5aEMuYoCTwm1jF0/edit#gid=0 (GlopTopQFNPackages tab)
Discussed dev board issues with @Titan Yuan , concluded it’s weird that the external 1.1 V VDDD supply must be disabled for (what are assumed to be) cold boot chips.
This batch of chips were not individually tested before assembly into PCBs. Is the ratio of cold boot, vddd tap, and non-functional chips the same as in past batches?
DB’s undergrad Jacob is on board to continue bug-squashing SCuM through the summer. How can we best use his expertise?
Weirdness of having to turn on the receiver for a long time before the packet arrives. Everything must be on multiple ms before the packet arrives. “Everything” here includes IF (lots of biases that need to settle, but only IF on early doesn’t help the situation) and LO (settles in 200-300 ns.
