Lab 11. SeeTheMesh

  • Your instructor will clone https://github.com/twatteyne/smartmeshsdk3 , switch to the develop branch, start the SeeTheMesh application, and open http://127.0.0.1:8081/ to see a topology view of the network

  • Start a couple of motes, observe the network forming

After a couple of minutes, draw the topology you see. How deep if your network? How many parents does each mote have?

  • Click on the little map icon in the upper-right hand corner

    • the “box” is where new motes appear

    • red pins represent motes

    • blue pins represent the manager

    • you can drag the box and all pins around, to their actual location

    • you can click on either the pins or the links to display statistics

  • Add/delete/motes motes to see the topology dynamically changing

  • Go deploy the motes across your building and place the motes in their right location
